Wonderfully descriptive photos. I really love the colour range and tones you’ve selected to represent this walk, it’s totally evocative of the chilly days of winter. I especially like the textures of the leaf pasted onto your hiking boot and that shot of the edge of the forest where everything beyond the tree line is plunged into a heavy, quiet, forest darkness – it is menacing and alluring in equal measures.

The leave is still there. It wanted to come home with me :-). Thanks for your comment. Love to get feedback on individual shots. And indeed: The Odenwald is partly very dense and dark and you can easily imagine stories from Brothers Grimm happening there. Do you know Hansel & Gretel?
