Ireland: Muckross House And Gardens And Torc Waterfall

On our second day we made a visit to fabulous Muckross House and had a long walk through the woods and to Torc Waterfalls. I don’t like guided tours but you can’t look at the house without it. The guided tour through the house we had, was very informative and our guide – Patsy – told the stories with interesting anecdotes and without any longeurs.

  1. A beautiful place. We were there in 1977 on our honeymoon and again in 2011. Did you manage a ride on an Irish Jaunting Cart? These are good, especially trying to decipher the Killarney accent of the drivers. Thanks for sharing. Allan
