We took a family tour around Dammwiesen in a marvelous and intense light. Everything was blue and yellow, we were able to hike in t-shirts for the first time of the year and in the evening our cheeks were glowing from all the sun we got. Pavlov made friends with the donkeys but even if the oxes were still babies, he showed a lot of respect. Maybe the corns?
Anyway: Even in February there a already ticks. I took four Dermacentor reticulatus (Auwaldzecke, marsh ticks) out of his fur the next day. Time to get him vaccinated.

Yes, the colours are amazing (and making stunning photo’s!) Pavlov is getting brave there by the donkeys (even standing nose to nose with them!)

I think he thought of them as very big and interesting dogs š

How beautiful that it was so warm but you still have ice on the lake. Lovely photos, especially of Pavlov and the donkeys. I had no idea that ticks are out in winter.
