We have been there for only one day all together and so I can only give my first impression. I would prefer Edinburgh to live but if I would be 20 again and looking for a place to visit an Art School I would chose Glasgow.
It has this corners where it would be possible to make movies placed in another century with crimes and rats but there are many beautiful places as well. Glasgow suffers from Brexit and a long history of property speculation and this lead to deserted shopping streets and shot down stores.
But we visited an Art & Design School and the Tea Room made by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, we saw great architecture and the sun going down over the river and all of that was a revelation in this sometimes very depressing surroundings.

It’s such a complex mix, isn’t it? I was only there for one day myself but loved the energy of the place.
