Last week I saw a picture of our garden in 2018 and I was quite surprised how fast everything becomes a jungle if you just let nature do her job.
My brother Daniel is mentally handicapped and lives is an institution not so far from where my Mom lives. He comes home from time to time and my Mom frequently visits him. The institution is located on the border of a forest and there are plenty of possibilities to have great times outdoors. We had a very nice afternoon with ice cream and a lot of lazy lying around in the sun.
Spring is kicking in and the magic begins. I just took pictures from places where you can already see it. In reality, everything is still quite brownish and winterish.
My Moms neighbor has an absolutely overflowing flower garden. Even more beautiful after the rain.
Coco came to visit Pavlov or – you can also say – Eva and Olli came to visit us we had coffee and the two dogs played for hours, slept, played again and killed my bergenia field. Coco is a Great Dane and will soon be much bigger than Pavlov.
The japonese cedar is growing. The owls are no babies anymore. A tiny spider nest.
Every month, every week in summer nature completely changes everything.
At the beginning I thought, there is quite some cheesiness in the glas sculptures of Dale Chihuly exposed in Kew Gardens in London. Bright colors, excessive forms – just an overdose of everything. But than I remembered plants I have photographed in the last years. Nature is like that. Exagerated, colourful and immoderate. So I’m quite d’accord with the artists title “reflections on nature”. Take a look and decide what you think is art and what is nature.

England is not only the place, where the gras is greener but also paradise for gardeners. We have been to a wonderful show garden with stunning plants from all over the world.
