On a rainy day we went sight seeing.
Incredibly great changes become visible when taking pictures of the same garden very early in the morning or after the rain. I’m always impressed how nature changes during the seasons or with light and weather.
One of those days. When you stray around in your city – necessary sometimes, to get a feeling of belonging and full of surprising discoveries. When I came here a long time ago, the historical Moltkebrücke (the bridge with the lions you can see below) was a solitary building in the middle of nowhere. And while there are some new, quite impressive corporate and private buildings, their aesthetic expression seams meaningless and empty compared to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Kongresshalle).
My Dad would have had his 76 birthday today.

We started after a really big breakfast from the charming Gasthof zur Mühle in Schmilka near the Czech border. It started raining as soon as we took of and the forest was soon filled with fog.

On the southern end of Kiessee you’ll find a nice location next to the lake to have coffee and a cake. And if you are completely fearless you can borrow a wetsuit to have a wakeboard or waterskiing tour around the lake.Â
The most beautiful atmosphere of this tour was around Bernsteinsee. There were no people only the fog the drizzle an hundreds of lake birds. Swans, ducks, herons and crakes. While the swans swam their peaceful rounds, the ducks and the crakes led an intense fight with words. The whole scenery was muted by the fog.Â
